Get ready for the Same Same but Different Offer by browsing the album on our Facebook page. It’s opening Wednesday with a google form that will be posted here and on social media platforms. We will be keeping to form open for 12-24 hours and opening it as close to 10:00 in the morning in the pacific time zone as possible.
This album is viewable whether or not you have a Facebook account but if you do and you’re not following us there yet, please do! https://www.facebook.com/pg/LullabyLinks/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1834617206608673 Here’s a collage with some of our favorite silver samples from the Offer. We have chosen the name “How the Light Gets In” which is a line from the late great singer Leonard Cohen’s song called Anthem. “There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” I have always been inspired by light flowing through spaces and spent many hours listening to Leonard Cohen’s songs when I was growing up and I think the name suits this little collection well! You may need to copy this to a browser but it’s all ready to fill out and will remain open for 12-24 hours so you can look it over and take your time. https://goo.gl/forms/GeC2tTddc4unCsR23 The timeline for this order is 3-6 weeks from when the invoices are all paid. We will draw and send out invoices in 12-24 hours after the form is closed for entries and payment is due Monday evening (we are all out in the pacific time zone). We aren’t setting any exact limits and are hoping to invoice as many people as possible. If the variety of charms selected are within reason for me (Francie) to make in 3-6 weeks everyone will get an invoice but that will depend on the pieces selected. 🤞🏼 You can see all the pictures with prices on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LullabyLinks/posts/1740550789348649 And there’s also a place to chat in one of our Facebook groups the Lullaby Links Chatter under this collage admins and I will be available to answer questions there, in the Lullaby Links Facebook page inbox and via email lullabylinks@gmail.com but it may take some time if the offer is left open over night. Thank you all for your continued support of Lullaby Links! 💕 francie 💕
We have named the upcoming offer “How the Light Gets In,” a line from the late great Leonard Cohen! To read more about it and see the pictures with pricing you can click through to the album posted on our Facebook page. We are working on a new gallery that will have albums here on the website but in the meantime we will be patching things together between the two places. We look forward to seeing a great turnout Wednesday and will be keeping the offer open for 12-24 hours! https://www.facebook.com/pg/LullabyLinks/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1740550766015318 The image above is Heart in Heart inspired by the famous e.e. Cummings poem linked below made in solid 24k gold.
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/poems/49493/i-carry-your-heart-with-mei-carry-it-in We will have some new charms to offer here next Wednesday. That’s November 15th! Keep a lookout on the Lullaby Links Facebook page for a naming contest. It’s been a while since we did an all charms offer and we’ll need a charming new name!! Here are some of the pieces that are coming together for the offer. The Heart in Heart design inspired by an E.E. Cummings poem will be offered in all fine silver (99.9%), mixed metal with a fine gold (24k) orbiting heart and one all in fine gold. I love the color of hot metal and it’s really cool to see the intense yellow of hot fine gold juxtaposed with the sweet coral color of hot fine silver. Here is the poem the Heart in Heart charm is inspired by:
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/poems/49493/i-carry-your-heart-with-mei-carry-it-in I’m so excited to be finally offering these pieces inspired by the cool breeze of the forest canopy and cool water of a creek or stream running over tumbling rocks and twisting roots! I hope you are all staying cool and will enjoy our second Official Offer here on the website. We aim to keep it relaxed but the Lullaby Links admin team will be around (mostly on Facebook) if you have any questions. This form (linked below) will be open for entries from 9:30am to approximately 9:30pm pacific time Friday, September First. The offer has a lot of variety but I am only planning to make 50-60 pieces total. Invoices will be sent this weekend and due Wednesday September sixth. Any unpaid invoices will be canceled and redrawn Wednesday evening. All pieces will be made to order within 3-6 weeks but if I can make them in less than three I’ll be thrilled to ship them out even quicker. The prices below do not include tax (only on orders shipped within California) or shipping costs. The form to place your order on this offer: https://goo.gl/forms/CL2UaTpKRZztvFKj1 (this link may need to be copied and pasted into a browser to open) Now more about the leaves, pods, roots and rocks! Cinerea is also called silver dollar eucalyptus and has beautiful rounded leaves that grow in pairs on delicate branches. It has always reminded me of lace and I was so excited to make this necklace inspired by it. The mixed metal version will have two leaves in 24k gold (bottom left and second to the right on the top in the below image). Cinerea Mixed $592.00 Cinerea Silver $160.00 The chains will be listed separately but the Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces and I would not recommend the Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) as it would only allow you string through to give a clustered look or drop the links vertically. Either style Connection Chain would allow you to wear the pieces horizontally as shown here on a Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC). Blue Gum (Eucalyptus Globulus) is a tree that is native to Australia that was brought to San Francisco a century after the Gold Rush in a period the promoters called the Eucalyptus Rush in effort to reforest the city with hardwood trees. Today they are a big part of the city’s landscape and this city has my heart. They are similar in shape to Eucalyptus Grandis but their seedpods have a more distinct shape that I tried to capture in the little orbiting pods on this piece. The mixed metal version will have two of the seedpods made in 24k gold. Blue Gum Mixed $420.00 Blue Gum Silver $140.00 The chains will be listed separately but the Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces and I would not recommend the Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) as it would only allow you string through to give a clustered look or drop the links vertically. Either style Connection Chain would allow you to wear the pieces horizontally as shown here on a Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC). Gone to Seed is a single leaf with an exploding bud of the Blue Gum (Eucalyptus Globulus). It is described as looking like a white sea anemone when in bloom. The little exploding bud is a little labor of love and I will only be offering three of these pieces so as not to slow myself down the entire offer. Gone to Seed $125.00 Any style Connection Chain would work with this piece but it also works really well on the Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) as shown below. The Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces. This is Paulownia. The leaves are formed like the heart-shaped leaves of the Paolownia tree, they are hand-marked and there is a little seedpod that floats around one of the leaves. The mixed metal version will have the sweet little seedpod made in 24k gold. Paulownia Mixed $215.00 Paulownia Silver $75.00 The chains will be listed separately but the Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces but any of the other selections will work with this piece. The Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) would allow you string through to give a clustered look or drop the links vertically. A Connection Chain would allow you to wear the pieces horizontally as shown here on a Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC) or a variety of other This is Redwood Sorrel. It is made with the three heart shaped leaves that grow clustered together. It has five little petals and one little round center attached to the leaves like the five petaled flowers it grows with. The mixed version will have just the itty bitty center made in 24k gold for a little pop of color. Redwood Sorrel Mixed $250.00 Redwood Sorrel Silver $130.00 The chains will be listed separately and while the Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces any other chain would work. The Ready-Made Argentium Chain would simply string through to give a clustered look like this or with the links dropping vertically. A Connection Chain would allow you to wear the pieces horizontally as shown in the second picture worn of the Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC). This is Rock You 2. It is one of three versions that will come with 1, 2 or 3 pebbles. It is inspired by the stage when little children telling their caregivers exactly what they want them to say. A friend of mine’s daughter used to go to her when she was said and say, “Momma rock you?” because my friend would frequently ask her if she wanted to be rocked. If I could make more pebbles on each piece to symbolize families with more little pebbles rocked I certainly would but more than three starts to get almost as challenging as rocking three little kiddos at once. Rock You 2 is shown here as a Front Clasping All in Ones (FCAiO) but you can select any of the chain options or buy this piece without chain. It is well suited to be worn on a ready-made chain (available in any store that sells jewelry), a cord or even a ribbon. If you don’t have a chain the Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) is a good option for this piece. A ready-made chain comes with one tiny closure and cannot be clasped directly onto the piece but is strung through. The mixed metal version will be the only pebble on Rock You 1, the largest pebble on Rock You 2 and the middle sized pebble on Rock You 3. Rock You 1 Mixed $175.00 Rock You 1 Silver $35.00 Rock You 2 Mixed $180.00 Rock You 2 Silver $40.00 Rock You 3 Mixed $185.00 Rock You 3 Silver $45.00 The chains will be listed separately and the FCAiO will only be available with the Rolling Rocks and Rock You pieces. The FCAiO option in this batch will be made with cute little elephant clasps and the chain will be permanently attached by looping around the centerpiece on one side. The cute little elephants will clasp right into the centerpiece on the other side for a complete necklace All in One piece! The chain lengths on FCAiOs include the length of the centerpiece and are measured from the outer edge elephant’s trunk to the outer edge of the outermost link. The can be clasped anywhere on the piece to shorten with links dropping vertically or clustered in the trunk of the elephant. The total lengths available will be 20″ or 18″. Rolling Rocks is inspired by big boulders smoothed in fast running water with a rough textured root heart and an elephant lumbering towards them it is a reminder to be slow and steady as life keeps rushing through. The heart is a reminder to be grounded in a place of love. At any moment the rocks may start tumbling downstream again but there is a peace in their stillness. Rolling Rocks as a Front Clasping All in Ones (FCAiO) is shown below all in silver but it will also be available in mixed metal with a gold heart root. Rolling Rocks Mixed $300.00 Rolling Rocks Silver $75.00 The chains will be listed separately and the FCAiO will only be available with the Rolling Rocks and Rock You pieces. This is Sassafras! The inspiration came from a Linklette on the Lullaby Links Facebook page. To quote her, “It is one of the only if not the only tree that has three different shaped leaves on it, there is a stubby oval leaf, the mitten leaf and the tri-lobbed leaf.” The week before this inspiration was shared I was making little fairy homes with my kids in a park where the sassafras leaves were just starting to turn beautiful colors in Philadelphia. (Second picture below)
The little leaves take some considerably concentration and delicate bending. There will only be 3 available on the offer. They will be available in all silver (as shown) or mixed metal with the middle leaf in 24k gold. Sassafras Mixed $375.00 Sassafras Silver $150.00 The chains will be listed separately and while the Front Clasping All in One (FCAiO) will not be available with these pieces any other chain would work. I would not recommend the Ready-Made Argentium Chain (RMAC) as it would only allow you string through to give a clustered look or drop the links vertically. A Connection Chain would allow you to wear the pieces horizontally as shown here on a Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC). And what could be better to wrap up and offer than my littlest’s feet stamping?! 🤣 It’s midnight before the offer opening and I am officially out of words for the night. I’m excited to see you all in the morning and delighted to get to work on the pieces ordered in this offer!! 💕 francie 💕 I’ll post all the pieces that will be in the Official Offer later today or tomorrow with prices and details on each design. For now, let’s talk about the different chains! This offer has been a long time coming and I’m excited to include the first official offer of Front Clasping All in Ones (FCAiO). The FCAiO option in this batch will be made with cute little elephant clasps and the chain will be permanently attached by looping around the centerpiece on one side. The cute little elephants will clasp right into the centerpiece on the other side for a complete necklace All in One piece! The organic shapes in this piece symbolize rocks or boulders in a stream or creek. The heart has a rough texture to give the feeling of a tree root. The design is called rolling rocks and will be available as shown with a silver heart root or with a 24k gold heart root. It can also be worn with any of the Lullaby Links connection chains such as the Wheat Convertible Connection Chain (WCCC) (shown below) which doubles around the centerpiece on both sides and clasps in back or can be worn long with one or two clasps on the centerpiece. The WCCC is available in two lengths 31″ and 33″. The WCCC31 (previously misnamed WCCC30) doubles back and clasps can be attached for an overall chain length of 15-17″ along a horizontal extender. The WCCC33 doubles back and clasps can be attached for an overall chain length of 17-19″ along a horizontal extender. The Convertible Connection Chain is a Lullaby Links original design that was made with maximal flexibility in mind. All the Connection Chain lengths are added to centerpiece lengths and a la carte centerpieces can be worn various ways. The connections chains are all interchangeable and can be worn with as many centerpieces as you have in your Lullaby Links collection. This offer will also have a Sterling Connection Chain 18″ (SCC18) that is a simple lightweight open link chain with two small oval clasps attached on either side. The clasps can be clipped directly to the centerpieces (as shown below) or strung through and clipped back into the chain they’re connected to. The below piece is called Rock You and is one of three versions that will come with 1,2 or 3 pebbles. The final chain is pictured below with a design that will not likely make it into the Official Offer. The chain is a Ready-Made Argentium Chain 18″ (RMAC18). I sourced this chain ready-made so that I could offer an inexpensive chain that requires no hand assembly in house. All of the Connection Chains are cut to size and hand assembled using American made chains and American or Italian made clasps. The RMAC are made in an American factory and are similar to the chains most department stores offer with a tiny singular clasp. They can be strung through links to wear clustered or vertical and are best suited to smaller pieces like the piece shown below which is inspired by a Grandis eucalyptus leaf and seedpod. The design is called Gone to Seed. If you’d like to weigh in on what’s offered head over to the Lullaby Links Facebook page and post a list of your favorite designs from the full album in the album comments.
Stay cool in these last days of summer and don’t forget to check back here for more details on Friday’s opening!! 💕 francie 💕 This will be our second Official Offer here. The first offer went so well that we plan to do an almost exact repeat. You can scroll through the posts to see how the Beachcomber Offer was rolled out. The first pieces I made for this order are inspired by two species of the same family that is growing in abundance in the park near my home. Can anyone guess what it is? That one ^^ may be a little less obvious but perhaps this next one will give you a better idea of the family. Still no? Maybe this fuzzy little seed pod will clue you in! And the family is… Eucalyptus!!
I've got a few more leaf styles coming and at two rocks in the works as well! I'll keep posting here and on the Lullaby Links Facebook page in the next few days and prices will go up at least a day if not a few before the order. Happy almost fall, y'all! We wrapped up summer with a quick trip to the east coast and look who I found there!! It was so lovely to meet these Linklettes face to face and share some lunch by the beautiful Philadelphia train station. It's been a while since I photographed Lullaby Links in action but we are going to be looking for photographers to do some mini sessions this fall so I thought I'd try taking a few myself. All of the offer pictures are taken in my little sunken yard by the beach in San Francisco on one of my dearest friends. Here's a picture of the same piece before it shipped out to the east coast. And clustered how it is worn above We will be posting an offer and sending some links traveling to photographers soon! Keep an eye if you're a photographer or have a great photographer you'd like to recommend!!
💕 Francie 💕 It usually actually takes much closer to 3-6 weeks for me to make an entire offer 50-100 sets by hand. I got a jump start and worked extra hard on these so they could ship out for end of summer celebrations!! All the pieces are officially done and boxes are being prepared to ship out of San Francisco and Long Beach but we may have a little surprise in store for the Lullaby Links Facebook this weekend! I can't wait to get out my big camera to take pictures of the mixed metal Pinctadas for the viewbook! Here's a little preview in the meantime. And all the Limonatas together one last time!! That's A LOT of teeny tiny soda bubbles!!! I'm so excited to get started on the stream of consciousness leading into the next order!!
Today marks one week since the bulk of the payments for the beachcomber offer were in! I have been very busy getting the pieces all made at record speed so they can be worn while the weather is still nice and warm in most places. The Aurelia sisters are already drifting down the coast to be boxed and shipped out by the Lullaby Links admin team in Southern California. Limonata are all fused and the silver batch are almost done being hammered! Here are the mixed pieces I couldn't quite get to last night. All the pearls are ready for Pinctada assembly today but I took a picture of what was left from the original batch I made at random and used for a guessing game on the Lullaby Links Facebook page. Here's what was left yesterday. I can't wait to see Pinctada in both mixed versions and I'm hoping to have them ready for a little photo shoot with my sweet friend and our main viewbook model, Ariel. I may make a separate post here for that because I'm absolutely giddy thinking about the little oysters in gold.
I'll be hopping back into inspiration mode and looking for natural things found around streams. You can share pictures on the thread started on our Facebook page or by tagging #LullabyLinks #linkspiration on Instagram. I'll also be hiking through golden gate park this weekend looking at the many species of eucalyptus growing there. The next offer will be coming together soon!! 💕 francie 💕 |
